India Experiences Snapchat Outage, Rendering Users Unable to Send Images and Texts
Popular social media app Snapchat is currently experiencing downtime, as reported by X (formerly Twitter) and outage monitoring website Downdetector.
Users face challenges while sending snaps and messages to their friends. Downdetector’s data shows that the number of user-submitted outage reports has increased significantly. Notably, it was down for over 4,000 users at one point between 11am and 2pm today, February 9th.
Additionally, the outage map highlights users struggling with these issues in different regions of India.
While there is no official statement on how long these issues will last for Snapchat users, they are still a constant concern for users right now.
At the same time, X has become home to the memefest that emerged from this development. “Everyone is flocking to Twitter when they see Snapchat is gone,” said a user who goes by the username @SankiPagalAwara.
Another user expressed their disappointment saying “when snapchat is the only way to communicate with your friends and it stops working.”
